On 8 August 2018, 106 members of the U.S. Congress sent a letter to the U.S. President Donald Trump encouraging him to ensure meaningful U.S. engagement in the upcoming UN High-Level Meeting on TB in September.
"We... urge you to ensure that the U.S. delegation demonstrates the prioritization of TB across the U.S. government."
