Global Burden of Disease Study 2016

The Global Burden of Disease Study is the most comprehensive worldwide observational epidemiological study to date. It describes annually mortality and morbidity from major diseases, injuries and risk factors to health at global, regional and national levels.

This week’s issue of The Lancet published the latest global, regional, and national estimates and analyses from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2016, covering the period 1990 to 2016.
