On Friday 24th March, the MSF Science Twitter account will be hosting a Twitter Spaces event (a live audio discussion) on ‘Treating drug-resistant tuberculosis: the past, present and future’!
The discussion will be chaired by Ilaria Motta (medical monitor of the TB-PRACTECAL clinical trial team), who will host Christophe Perrin (TB advocacy pharmacist with the MSF Access Campaign), and a TBC nurse from the THINK organisation in South Africa. Covering the rollout of the new, all-oral, six-month BPaLM regimen from the TB-PRACTECAL clinical trial, the event will explore the panel’s experiences treating with the old versus the new WHO recommended regimen and the obstacles that need to be overcome to ensure this new regimen improves as many lives as possible.
