MSMGF: Webinar: Tuberculosis and co-infection with HIV
The webinar is focused on the relationship between HIV and tuberculosis, and the implications for the well-being of gay men and other MSM.
The webinar will serve as a basic introduction to tuberculosis and co-infection with HIV and is designed for advocates and service providers who would like to learn more about this topic. The presentation will review definitions and causes of TB, a comparison of latent and active types of TB, basic diagnosis and treatment of TB, comparisons of MDR and XDR TB, and the World Health Organization’s recommendations for addressing the epidemic of HIV and TB co-infection.
