GeneXpert implementers service and maintenance survey
At the request of governments and global health actors, a group of TB stakeholders (including The Global Fund, PEPFAR,CDC, USAID, FIND, Stop TB Partnership, South Africa NHLS, MSF Access Campaign and CHAI) held three consultancies (April and October 2014, April 2015) to review and assess the Service and Maintenance (S&M) contracts offered by Cepheid for GeneXpert machines.
As part of this ongoing process, FIND, MSF Access Campaign,
CHAI, The Global Fund and GDF have developed this online survey
to collect information from implementers in low and middle
income countries on their experience with technical support,
service and maintenance and related services received for the
GeneXpert technology. The survey may be completed by the
National Tuberculosis Control Programme, National Tuberculosis
Reference Laboratory, or by implementing partners involved in
country level implementation. Implementing partners who support
implementation in more than one country are requested to
complete a separate survey for each country in which they
operate.
Data collected in this survey will be
used to inform discussions between partners and Cepheid around
pricing and service terms and conditions. Implementers will
remain owners of any data released as part of this information
request, and country-specific data will not be published or
presented in public fora if not approved by relevant countries
or partners. The outcome of this survey will complement the more
quantitative data being requested from selected countries which
focuses on assessing the real cost sustained by countries,
partners and Cepheid for servicing and maintaining GeneXpert
platforms.
The information gathered by this
GeneXpert Implementers Service and Maintenance Survey will be
used to engage the manufacturer on the range, quality and costs
of services experienced and desired by customers, with the aim
of strengthening sustainable and efficient implementation of the
technology.
Please complete the survey by 20th August 2015.
