Webinar: Expanding use of TB LAM test for people with HIV
Treatment Action Group and global partners will host a webinar on 3 October 2017, at 8:30 am ET, on urging policymakers and funders to procure and implement the TB LAM test.
The TB LAM test represents the only current point-of-care TB
diagnostic test overall, that is specifically used for detecting
TB in HIV-positive people with low CD4 counts, and is the only
test that has a proven impact on reducing TB deaths in people
with HIV.
Khairunisa Suleiman will moderate, with
speakers including Lynette Mabote (AIDS & Rights Alliance
for Southern Africa), Stephen Wanjala (Médecins Sans
Frontières), and Wayne van Gemert (Global Drug Facility).
