WHO call for patient data on the treatment of drug-resistant TB
Public call for individual patient data on treatment of multidrug- and rifampicin-resistant TB.
16 February 2018 | Geneva: In July 2018, the World Health
Organization (WHO) will update its treatment guidelines for
multidrug- and rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis (MDR/RR-TB).
Ahead of this meeting, WHO will commission reviews
of relevant evidence on the effect of different treatment
regimens on patient outcomes.
To enable this process,
WHO is issuing a public call, appealing to industry,
researchers, national TB programmes and other agencies to
provide suitable datasets.
The data will be
essential to facilitate the process of WHO policy updates.
Please let us know if you have data to contribute by
1 March 2018.
More
information on the requirements of the datasets, variables, the
process, deadlines and contacts is available
