Webinar: Advocacy for access to DR-TB treatment - webinar materials now available online
The TB Europe Coalition conducted a webinar on 13 November 2019 on advocating for the new guidelines on drug-resistant TB (DR-TB) treatment. The webinar materials are now available online.
Drug-resistant TB is one of the main challenges of the TB epidemic in the region of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Patients are often placed on regimes of injectable drugs with devastating side effects despite the updated World Health Organization guidelines which call for newer, safer regimens. The webinar explored the new options for DR-TB treatment and the ways civil society can successfully advocate for their adoption.
