TB civil society, parliamentarians, and TB survivors call for accountability and community led monitoring to ensure access to TB treatment and care for all
On the sidelines of this year’s United Nations General Assembly, TB affected communities and civil society organizations held two events to push for greater accountability in TB.
The Global TB Caucus launched new guidance to support parliamentarians on how to use the last year’s report, ‘A Deadly Divide: TB Commitments vs. TB Realities.’, to shape national agendas and policies to help end the TB pandemic.
The Stop TB Partnership, the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (Global), in collaboration with TB affected communities and with support from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and USAID, launched the OneImpact Community-led Monitoring Framework expected to support communities and countries to design and build robust digital, community-led monitoring systems, and to collect, analyse and use community data to reduce barriers to access, eliminate TB stigma and promote and protect human rights.
