WHO public consultation on evidence framework for new TB vaccines
The Department of Immunization, Vaccines and Biologicals (IVB) at the World Health Organization (WHO) released a draft document for public consultation 'WHO Evidence Considerations for Vaccine Policy Development (ECVP) for Tuberculosis vaccines intended for Adults and Adolescents'.
The ECVP document aims to provide early information on the data and evidence that is likely to be required to support WHO policy recommendations.
WHO welcomes comments on both the general utility of the ECVP
document, and the specific guidance developed for new TB
vaccine. The deadline for comments submission is
28 October 2022.
