Figures published by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) in its TB annual report, show that tuberculosis cases in England in 2022 were stable compared to 2021 (4,380 in 2022 compared to 4,411 in 2021).

21 October 2021 -- Data from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) indicates that cases of TB in England increased by 7% in the first half of 2023 compared to the same timeframe in 2022, with 2,408 notifications compared to 2,251 in the first 2 quarters of 2022.

New data published by the UK Health Security Agency shows reported cases of TB fell in England in 2020, reducing rates from 8.4 per 100,000 in 2019 to 7.3 per 100,000.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), working with the National Health Service England (NHSE), has launched a 5-year action plan to drive down tuberculosis (TB) cases in England.
