The Stop TB Partnership New Tools Working Groups and the Stop TB Partnership NGO and Affected Community Board Delegations are co-developing a self-guided online learning course on new TB drugs, diagnostics, and vaccines. The purpose of the course is to build capacity and strengthen the engagement of advocates, including TB-affected communities and civil society, in the TB research and development agenda.

The new Global Plan will cover the period 2023 to 2030 and will specifically identify what resources are needed to end the TB epidemic globally.

08 April, Geneva, Switzerland: Good news for all countries wanting to bring rapid molecular testing for tuberculosis (TB) and resistance to rifampicin to peripheral laboratories with minimal infrastructure. The Stop TB Partnership has negotiated global access pricing for Truenat^TM tests, a battery-powered molecular technology that can diagnose TB in one hour as well as test for resistance to the drug rifampicin.

The Stop TB Partnership Board has appointed Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, as the new Chair of the Stop TB Partnership Board. Dr. Harsh Vardhan’s three-year tenure will begin in 2021.

On International Women’s Day, 8 March 2021, the Stop TB Partnership marked the vital role that women in all their diversity play in the global fight to end TB and in the overall global health arena. The Stop TB Partnership supported the launch of the TBWomen network and their 2021-2025 strategic plan and also launched a new position paper by Stop TB Partnership's TB REACH on 'Gender and TB'.

On International Women’s Day, 8 March 2021, TBWomen will be launched as a network accompanied by a short panel discussion featuring women who lead in TB. TBWomen is a new global network of women in their diversity working toward a gender-transformative TB response. The event will be co-hosted by the Stop TB Partnership which will release a position paper focusing on gender-sensitive TB interventions.
