The Communities Delegation to the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is currently inviting applications for membership from people living with HIV, and affected by TB or malaria. The selection process strives to achieve a balanced and representative Delegation.

The Communities Delegation to the Global Fund Board is made up of individuals living with HIV, TB and affected by malaria, and its mission is to ensure the voices and issues of people living with HIV, TB and affected by malaria influence the deliberations and decisions on investments and programs of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria to achieve greater and sustained impact for communities.

The Communities Delegation to the Global Fund Board represents communities living with HIV, and affected by TB and malaria at the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. It has a voting seat.

The Communities living with HIV and Tuberculosis and affected by malaria Delegation (Communities Delegation) on the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund) expresses its full support for the request submitted by Bangladesh at the WTO TRIPS Council in October 2014, on behalf of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), for an extension of the transitional period under Article 66.1 of the TRIPS Agreement with respect to pharmaceutical products and for waivers from the obligations of Articles 70.8 and 70.9 of the TRIPS Agreement (IP/C/W/605).

The Global Fund Communities Delegation abstained from the decision point on the Transition from the 3rd to 4th Replenishment Period.
