GlaxoSmithKline has purchased the Swiss-based vaccine technology company Okairos for 250 million euros in a deal that will bolster the firm’s biologics division.

31 May 2013. UNITAID is seeking to fund new innovative projects in order to increase access to treatment, diagnostic, and preventive products for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), and malaria. In 2013, UNITAID made over $ 230 million in new grants available for a variety of projects.

This week ECDC is joining its international partners to discuss the common goal of eliminating TB in Europe. The Week of Annual Meetings of European Tuberculosis Networks takes place in The Hague from 28 to 31 May.
