Wanted: A plan for drug-resistant TB, and funds to make it work (post)

More than 600 physicians and scientists called on President Obama in a letter Tuesday to release a national plan for research and programming needed to fight the spread of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis at home and abroad, and to back the plan with a budget proposal that allots the dollars necessary to effect it.

Stop TB Partnership announces successful grantees in 7th round of Challenge Facility for Civil Society projects (post)

The Stop TB Partnership’s Coordinating Board has approved US $600,000 in new funding for 10 partners implementing the 7th Round of Challenge Facility for Civil Society projects. The projects were selected by an independent committee of experts on a competitive basis from 258 eligible proposals received. Grants will be implemented between April 2016 and October 2017.
