On 21 March 2018, two members of the Affected Communities and Civil Society Advisory Panel to the United Nations High-Level Meeting on TB (UN HLM on TB) - Ingrid Schoeman and Jeff Acaba - had the opportunity to speak at a special World TB Day Luncheon and Missions Briefing at the UN. The luncheon was attended by Ambassadors from around the world who all came to hear Ingrid and Jeff’s personal stories as TB survivors and why the UN HLM on TB is such an important opportunity that needs strong political support. They then all got to take part in unveiling a new End TB installation that will stay at the UN lobby until the HLM.
