The latest survey results of Global Fund-supported programs across 106 countries show widespread disruptions to HIV, TB and malaria service delivery as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, impacting approximately three-quarters of HIV, TB and malaria programs.

GENEVA – The Global Fund announced today that 11 countries have so far used financial assistance from the Global Fund in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

GENEVA, 04 March 2020 – The Global Fund announced today new guidance to enable countries to strengthen their response to the new coronavirus, COVID-19, by using existing grants in a swift, nimble and pragmatic way.

The Global Fund has reached agreement with partners for a consolidated grant for tuberculosis and malaria in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and implementation of the grant has begun.

GENEVA, 18 December 2019 − Following a record-breaking Replenishment in October 2019, the Global Fund today announced its largest-ever funding allocations for eligible countries to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria and build systems for health over the next three years.

Donors at the Global Fund's Sixth Replenishment Conference pledged US$14.02 billion for the next three years – the largest amount ever raised for a multilateral health organization, and the largest amount by the Global Fund.

GENEVA, 19 September 2019 – Programs supported by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria have saved 32 million lives, according to a report released today. The Results Report 2019 shows great progress against some of the biggest challenges in the fight against the three diseases, while highlighting new threats.

NEW DELHI, 03 September 2019 - The Government of India today announced an increased commitment of US$22 million to the Global Fund for the next three years, highlighting India’s leadership in global efforts to end AIDS, TB and malaria as epidemics and to build stronger health systems.

"Without universal access to quality health care, millions of people die unnecessarily every year, and preventable diseases including AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria continue to ravage families and communities. To achieve the Sustainable Development Goal 3 of greater health and well-being for all, we must both end the epidemics and build stronger systems for health that can deliver universal health coverage."
