BRUSSELS, 03 March 2016 – The European Commission announced a pledge of €470 million for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for the three-year period beginning in 2017, an increase of €100 million, or 27 percent, over their previous contribution.

PRETORIA, February 5, 2016 - The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and a Regional Coordinating Mechanism (RCM) representing a group of 10 Southern African countries today signed a landmark grant to pioneer innovative models to reduce high rates of TB in the mining sector.

TOKYO, 17 December 2015 - The Global Fund today presented its investment case for raising US$13 billion for its next three-year cycle of funding, outlining how partners in global health can contribute to ending HIV, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics by 2030.

The Global Fund prepared a toolkit to help partners implement differentiated care approaches in HIV and TB investments with the aim of maximizing cost efficiency and better serving the different needs of various communities most affected by diseases.

GENEVA, November 17, 2015 - The Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria approved a new framework for its 2017-2022 strategy to maximize impact, strengthen systems for health, promote and protect human rights and gender equality, and mobilize additional resources.

VILNIUS, Lithuania, 15 September 2015 – A new grant agreement between 11 Eastern European and Central Asian nations and the Global Fund aims to boost tuberculosis control by building stronger systems for health and stressing high level political advocacy and interaction between governments.

The number of tuberculosis cases detected and treated increased by 11 percent to reach 13.2 million.

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - The Government of Ethiopia and the Global Fund partnership today signed four new grants for US$551.6 million to fight HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria and to build resilient and sustainable systems for health.

GENEVA – As world leaders met in Addis Ababa to discuss financing for the Sustainable Development Goals, the Global Fund announced mid-year results that demonstrate strong progress against HIV, tuberculosis and malaria.
