(NASDAQ, TASE: MYL) have entered into a license agreement between their respective subsidiaries, Otsuka Novel Products GmbH (ONPG) and Mylan Pharmaceuticals Private Limited (Mylan), to commercialize delamanid for the treatment of adults with pulmonary multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) in low- and middle-income countries. Delamanid was discovered and developed, and is currently marketed by Otsuka under the brand name Deltyba™.

NIH funds SLU research of possible treatment for drug-resistant TB (post)

Saint Louis University is leading a multi-national clinical trial of what could become a regimen for drug resistant tuberculosis (TB) that does not require injectable medications. Abstract

We describe 27 children and adolescents <18 years of age who received bedaquiline during treatment for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. We report good treatment responses and no cessation attributable to adverse effects. Bedaquiline could be considered for use with this age group for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis when treatment options are limited.
